mary: jack, you look blue. what's wrong?

玛丽:杰克，你看起来闷闷不乐的，怎么了?

jack: i received an e-mail from a company saying that i failed the interview.

杰克:我收到了一家公司的邮件，说我面试失败了。

mary: don't worry. you will have other chances in the future.

玛丽:别担心，你以后还会有机会的。

jack: though i failed, i also plan to write an appreciation letter and i think it's very necessary.

杰克:虽然失败了，可我还是打算写一封感谢信。我认为这样做很有必要。

mary: i agree. do you know how to write an appreciation letter?

玛丽:我赞成，那你知道怎么写感谢信吗?

jack: first i will thank them for giving me the interview, though i failed.

mary: then you can say something about the company, especially that leaves you a deep impression.

jack: yes, that's a good idea. i will do that. then i will tell the company that i really want to enter their company to work although i haven't been hired.

mary: maybe the company will hire you after reading your letter.

jack: i hope so.
